Next week I’ll be bowling for the BallStars team to raise funds for Pro-Choice Resources. PCR has worked in our community for 45 years to strike down barriers to sexuality information and resources and I want to help them continue to be there for all of us.
Kristen Gandrow, one of the original team founders, was the originator of the “Ballstars” name. Being the professional doodler of the group, I was “volunteered” to come up with the team logo. Such a fun name, of course, was likely to produce an interesting graphic approach, as indeed was the case.
We had a little bit of a problem with it being somewhat phallic-looking but I can assure you this was not intentional. I don’t want to be a dick (drum roll) but surely you understand I wasn’t involved in the least with the invention and design of the original bowling pin.
Please donate through my PCR fundraising page or, if you feel bold enough to fly the colors, get a printed cap, shirt or mug from the online merchandise store.

Thanks Lauren, I hate that cafepress takes so much off of the base price tho. We have to find a new vendor next time.
Nice store! I had no idea we’d have so many BallStars items available for sale – it looks great!
